How to apply ChatGPT in practice? Over the next few posts, I’ll dive deeper into specific examples to showcase ChatGPT can be a game-changer for you. There are many applications of ChatGPT but in this blog I’ll focus on two applications to keep this post succinct, yet comprehensive.

1. On-demand Tutoring

Gone are the days of waiting for office hours. With ChatGPT, learners can get instant answers to their questions, any time of the day. Whether it's preparing for a sales presentation or a communication plan for the introduction of a new feature, ChatGPT provides immediate feedback, facilitating continuous learning. Let’s take the preparation of the sales presentation as an example. A good briefing is essential for the quality of the material that ChatGPT delivers. In this example, you start by requesting the framework; the elements you need to eventually create your presentation.

Understanding the Client's Industry: You can start by asking ChatGPT about the potential client's industry, recent trends, challenges, and opportunities. Within minutes, ChatGPT provides you with a comprehensive overview, saving you hours of research time.

Crafting the Sales Pitch: Unsure about the structure of your pitch, you can seek guidance from ChatGPT. The AI provides you with a tried-and-tested pitch structure, suggesting you should start with the client's pain points, followed by the solutions your company offers, and closing with a compelling call to action. Your question for ChatGPT could be: "What is an effective structure for a sales presentation of up to 10 slides?

Addressing Objections: You could role-play with ChatGPT, practicing how you should handle possible objections. ChatGPT plays the role of the skeptical client, allowing you refine your responses and build confidence. The on-demand role-play is covered in the second part of this blog.

Presentation Skills: Feeling nervous about your delivery, you can asks ChatGPT for tips on public speaking and effective presentation. The AI offers advice on everything from body language to the effective use of visual aids. Cultural Nuances: Since the client is from a different country, you inquires about business etiquette and cultural nuances specific to the client's country. ChatGPT provides you with essential dos and don'ts, ensuring you make a positive impression. Follow-up and Next Steps: After the pitch, you can use ChatGPT to help draft a compelling follow-up email. The AI suggests including a recap of the main points discussed, reaffirming the value proposition, and proposing the next steps. Your question for ChatGPT could be: “write me a compelling follow-up email after a sales presentation include the main points discussed like implementation, support and roadmap, reaffirming the value proposition and propose next steps.

By posing a single question, you receive a comprehensive action plan for an effective sales presentation. The crux? Precision in your query yields richer responses from ChatGPT, though intricate questions may take longer.

2. Role-playing and Scenario-based Learning

Role-playing is an indispensable tool for sales, customer service, and leadership. WhatGPT’s ability to mimic various roles allows learners to hone their skills interactively.

How does this look in practice? Imagine training a new customer service representative to manage unhappy and dissatisfied customers. Initiate the session with ChatGPT by saying: “Let’s start an on-demand tutoring about a dissatisfied customer. I’ll play the customer and you be the representative.” ChatGPT will promptly slip into character, creating an interactive learning space: “Absolutely! I'll take on the role of the representative. Through this method, employees can confront real-world scenario’s and gauge ChatGPT’s responses. To get most out of these sessions, you should prepare multiple scenario’s and employees should note key learnings and provide feedback for future improvements.
